Alloy 20 Threaded Flanges are composed primarily of approximately 20% nickel and 20% chromium, with the addition of molybdenum and copper to enhance resistance to sulfuric acid and other corrosive media. Iron makes up the balance, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This alloy provides good tensile and yield strength, excellent resistance to creep and stress rupture, and strong low-temperature impact toughness. Its stable mechanical properties ensure long-term reliability without softening under normal operating conditions.
