Alloy 20 RTJ Flanges are composed primarily of approximately 20% nickel and 20% chromium, with added molybdenum and copper to enhance resistance to sulfuric acid and other corrosive media. Iron forms the balance, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This composition provides good tensile and yield strength, excellent resistance to creep and stress rupture, and strong impact toughness at low temperatures. The alloy maintains mechanical stability under elevated pressure and temperature conditions, making it suitable for critical service applications.
